THE FATHER LAND

Envious and desirous
Gracious and glorious
The unlost Eden of creation
The blessed father land

An inheritance inherited
A priceless treasure unlimited
The sweat of our forbears
A sweet land so dear

A product of dedicated pains
That’s borne much gain
Kept for the cherished posterity
The beloved land of prosperity

The ideals are distorted
Shattered, bent and truncated
The only land in lands
The father land in broken hands

The flying banner is lowered
Soiled, tampered and dishonored
In a blink of a darting eye
A sinking land like fragile isle

The inhabitants are sick
Their lives the death seeks
With weeping & waling in bands
In the once pride of lands

Who’d rise and challenge
And rebuild the change
So make the land a true home
A better place than Rome

POETRY
At every time in our lives, there is an urgent need to challenge the decaying status quo. This poem is like a wake-up call. Who out there will join me to make this beloved land great in our own little way? You will be surpriser that that very little will amout to much...
